Burger King: THE CALL

To help BK launch the return of the Ghost Pepper Whopper — and introduce the new Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries — we created the first-ever, AI-generated phone call experience that puts fans directly into our social video. We tapped famed Hollywood horror director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon to create a horror film promoting “The Call” with nods and callbacks to classic horror films and shows. Fans were prompted to sign-up for a something spooky — and received a creepy personalized call (offering a deal!) mirroring the horror movie phone call in our social video.

To help promote the campaign and add more retro horror flair, we tapped Casey Booth to hand-illustrate vintage-style movies posters for use in-theater and on social channels.

The campaign involved social video, CTV, theater placement (of the :60 and :30), building a microsite, building the call technology, artist and influencer partnerships.
